Now that Summer is coming to an end we need to get ready for Fall. And it's certainly sad to leave the hot days behind but the Fall season brings out new beginnings, new adventures and new clothes to our lives :) So, if you're going back to school, found a new job or move to a new city... all of them are just great excuses to bring new life to your wardrobe. I teamed up with Boutique L'Actuel, an excellent store located in the South Shore of Montreal just minutes away from downtown, to find those key items for this Season. You'll see the outfits that we created with those awesome garments in various posts. At L'Actuel you will find everything you need to look elegant, chic or casual whatever the occasion dictates.

Ahora que el Verano llega a su final debemos estar preparadas para recibir el Otoño. Es triste saber que nos toca dejar los días cálidos y soleados del Verano pero debemos estar conscientes que el Otoño nos trae nuevos proyectos, aventuras y por supuesto nueva ropa a nuestras vidas :) Así que regresar de nuevo a la escuela, encontrar un nuevo empleo o simplemente mudarse a otra ciudad... son todas muy buenas excusas para traer nuevas prendas a su guardaropa. Para esta temporada me asocié con la Boutique L'Actuel, una excelente tienda localizada en la Rivera Sur de Montreal, para encontrar las tendencias y los looks claves para esta temporada. Durante esta semana descubrirán aquí varias publicaciones donde podrán admirar estos atuendos. The first days of Fall have excellent temperatures. Fresh mornings and nights but sunny and warmer afternoons where sometimes temperatures reach the mid 20s Celsius.

In today's post I'm wearing the perfect jacket for those kind of transitional days. This sexy and exclusive garment is part of my friend Oscar Mendoza Fall 2014 Collection. I definitely love the beautiful and trendy purple print. Just in time for Fall..! Hope you like it! ;)

Los primeros días del Otoño nos traen unas lindas temperaturas. Las mañanas y las noches son frescas, pero las tardes un poco mas calientes donde algunas veces las temperaturas sobrepasan los 20 grados centígrados.

En la publicación de hoy estoy llevando un jacket ideal para estos días de transición. Una pieza exclusiva y muy sexy que hace parte de la colección de Otoño 2014 de mi amigo y diseñador Oscar Mendoza. Definitivamente quedé enamorada de este estampado y el color morado que esta tan de moda. Justo a tiempo para el Otoño..! Espero les guste! ;)

This month I was invited to the season's first Happening of the Opéra de Montréal. These events let you discover the new shows of the season, meet operas craftspeople and singers and enjoy intimate performances.

For this occasion I wore leather shorts, crop top and I put on an animal print jacket and my lovely F21 loafers to make the outfit autumnal and elegant for this important music rendez-vous. Here some pics of my OOTD. Hope you like it and go the Opera, you're gonna love it! ;)

Este mes fui invitada a la primera presentación de la temporada de la Ópera de Montreal. Lo que mas me gusta de este tipo de eventos es que te permite descubrir los nuevos shows, interactuar con los actores y cantantes y disfrutar de las presentaciones privadas.

Para esta ocasión decidí llevar mis shorts de cuero, top ombliguero, mi animal print jacket y mis mocasines favoritos de F21. Un look otoñal, comfortable y muy chic para este importante evento. Had a great time enjoying the sunny and fresh afternoons of September in NYC. The perfect weather to walk and discover all the precious places that this city has to offer.

Sometimes it's difficult to find what to wear when you get invited to cocktails, dates, restaurants or different kind of events where you need to look your best considering the importance of the night. A dress is an excellent choice for these occasions because you don't have to spend too much time trying to match it with something else as it's often the case if wearing a skirt or a blouse. 

Last week I had a date, so for this occasion I wanted to find an effortless but chic look, something dressy that looked elegant with high heels for that night but at the same time casual when matched with comfy shoes to wear it later in other occasions.

This colourful dress from Zara was the perfect choice. It's always important to have pieces that you can wear on multiple occasions. The key is knowing how to combine them with the right accessories.  You'll look great and your wallet will thank you. Hope you like it! ;)

Algunas veces es difícil encontrar el atuendo perfecto cuando te invitan a cocteles, citas, restaurantes u otro tipo de eventos donde necesitas lucir bien considerando la importancia de la ocasión. Un vestido es una excelente opción a la hora de decidir que ponerte, pues no tienes que gastar mucho tiempo pensando en como combinarlo como te pasaría en el caso de llevar una falda o una blusa. La semana pasada tuve una cita romántica donde quería llevar un atuendo chic pero descomplicado al mismo tiempo, algo elegante que se viera bien con zapato alto para llevar esa noche, pero casual al mismo tiempo para seguir usándolo en otras ocasiones con zapatos un poco mas comfys.
Encontré entonces este vestido de Zara y creo que fue la mejor opción. Recuerden siempre es importante adquirir piezas que puedan usar para diferentes ocasiones, la clave es saberlas combinar con los accesorios adecuados. Lucirán super bien y su billetera se los va a agradecer. Espero les guste! ;)

Photoshoot Styling "Rough day at the Office"

Last June, I collaborated as Stylist for a Photoshoot with the excellent photographer Andrea Cloutier, her assistant Sonia Saravong, model Carl Charron from Dulcedo model management and my friend and awesome make up artist Shiuner Victoria. The idea was to recreate a scene where a young executive is getting home after a rough day at the office. I wanted to give our model an elegant yet modern and comfortable look based on pre-fall trends. Although I used "office-neutral" colours for the majority of the items, I also chose a colourful shirt that I matched with a classic grey jacket and a bow tie.

I think not only the clothes but the accessories play a very important role in styling. So I very carefully chose the bag, the shoes, the sunglasses, the braces and the beautiful bow ties courtesy of my friend and designer Manuela Gomez and her label Mr. Gomez. I really loooveee... the result. Hope you like it as much as I do! ;)

Hace algunos meses tuve la oportunidad de participar como estilista de moda en una sección de fotos de la talentosa fotógrafa Andrea Cloutier y su asistente Sonia Saravong, donde también participaron el modelo Carl Charron de la agencia de modelos Dulcedo y mi amigo y MUA Shiuner Victoria. La idea era recrear una escena de un hombre ejecutivo que llega a su casa después de un día largo de trabajo. Quise darle al modelo un look elegante, moderno y confortable al mismo tiempo, basándome en las tendencias de transición del Verano al Otoño. En la mayoría de las prendas usé colores neutros como azul marino, gris, blanco y beige pero también quise darle un toque de color a uno de los looks, por eso escogí una camisa floral muy colorida que combinada con un jacket gris y un corbatín vinotinto le dio un aire mas profesional al atuendo.   

Creo que no solamente las prendas juegan un papel importante al momento de escoger un look, los accesorios son también una pieza clave en la elección de este. Por este motivo escogí muy minuciosamente los accesorios como el maletín, los zapatos, los lentes, los tirantes y este hermoso corbatín cortesía de mi amiga y diseñadora Manuela Gomez y su marca Mr. Gomez y me aseguré que cada uno de ellos combinara perfectamente con cada prenda. La verdad me encantó el resultado. Espero les guste tanto como a mi! ;)

Beach Day in Montreal ☀

Montreal is always associated with Winter! And although we certainly have some rigorous months of cold we also enjoy some beautiful months of hot and nice weather.

Et à Montréal l'été on aime s'amuser, alors on s'est construit une plage au Vieux Port... Oups! Lost in translation: and because in Summer we love to have fun we built our own urban beach in the middle of the Old Port. That's how we roll here baby! Lol ;) The Clock Tower Beach offers you an entire beach experience: sun, sand and drinks. Last week I spent the final days of warmer temperatures with some friends and family in this beautiful place. So, with this post I guess I have to say goodbye to Summer. I will miss you my friend! See u next year! :(

La ciudad de Montreal esta siempre asociada con nieve y frío! Y aunque tenemos que reconocer que contamos con algunos meses de clima inclemente, también tenemos la oportunidad de disfrutar de algunos meses de calor y agradables temperaturas.

Et à Montréal l'été on aime s'amuser, alors on s'est construit une plage au Vieux Port... Oups! me perdí en la traducción: y porque aquí en esta ciudad nos encanta divertirnos, decidimos construir una playa en pleno medio urbano, exactamente en el Viejo Puerto de Montreal. La Playa del Reloj es un sitio donde encontrarán una verdadera experiencia de playa: sol, arena y deliciosas bebidas.

La semana pasada disfruté de un hermoso día de Verano con mi familia y amigos en este lugar. La verdad tenía que aprovechar al máximo de estos últimos días de sol. Así que creo que con este post me despido del Verano y esperando verlo pronto... Oh como lo voy a extrañar! :( Y después de mis looks de playa en el soleado Miami, aquí les traigo este sexy look directamente desde el caluroso Montreal... Espero les guste! ;)
