As Fashionistas we all love to have pieces from the top names in Fashion. Quality and prestige are some of the reasons why we're obsessed with Haute Couture Houses. Unfortunately there's one big problem with luxury items: price! $ Not everybody can't afford the high price tag even if the pieces are worth every penny. Personally, If I have the opportunity I would definitely invest in high end accessories because you can wear them often and for various occasions and you can easily match them with your every day clothes. And if I must choose just one high fashion accessory I will certainly go for a handbag. A top handbag will make any outfit look instantly gorgeous and it would survive the test of time and... trends! Even vintage handbags looks very cool right? I love them! Como Fashionistas nos encanta llevar piezas de los grandes diseñadores. Calidad y prestigio son algunas de las razones por las cuales vivimos tan obsesionadas con las grandes casas de moda. Definitely it's incredible that in the middle of December we are still enjoying Fall temperatures without the snow or extremely cold weather very common in Montreal for this time of the year. It's the first time in 13 years that I see this kind of temperatures in Canada. So for now I'm still able to wear heels and to leave my Winter accessories at home. For today's post I'm wearing a fringe skirt that I thought I wouldn't wear until next Summer. I styled it with a black biker jacket, crop top, oversized sunglasses and my beloved loubies. Definitivamente es increíble que ya estemos casi a finales de Diciembre y aún con temperaturas otoñales, no nieve, no frío extremo. En 13 años viviendo en Canadá nunca había visto este fenómeno. Mientras tanto yo aprovecho para continuar llevando zapatos de tacón y ropa ligera. Hoy estoy vistiendo una falda de flecos que la verdad pensé que no volvería a usarla hasta el Verano próximo. La llevé con este jacket de cuero, crop top y mis adorados loubies. Aquí las imágenes. Espero les guste! ;)

An old "Winter" coat that I still Love

It hasn't happened to you that cleaning up your closet you find an old coat that you refuse to give away? You know you don't use it often anymore but something inside tells you to keep it. Well, it had happened to me many times with various items still on my closet like the blue coat I'm wearing for today's post. I remembered that I bought it at Express when I was living in NYC. It was the perfect coat for the clement winters in the United States on those years. But when I moved to Montreal I learned the hard way that it wasn't really a winter coat. I was literally freezing in the streets of Montreal. I understood that for Canadian Winter I needed to find a coat that could fight the glacial temperatures of my new country. So my favourite coat went straight to my walk-in and stood there for years. But because now we're having above normal temperatures I could put on my old favourite blue coat and create a transitional outfit. I styled it with boyfriend jeans, loubies and this beautiful faux fur scarf that I found at Joe Fresh (It was love at first sight!) Here are some pics of this autumn look in December. No les ha pasado alguna vez al momento de hacer limpieza en sus armarios de querer regalar ese viejo abrigo que ya no usan? Pero que en algún momento lo piensan dos veces o algo les dice que lo conserven por un tiempo mas. Bueno pues eso me ha pasado varias veces con ciertas prendas que descansan por varios años en mi guardarropa, como por ejemplo este abrigo azul de Express que lo compré hace algún tiempo cuando decidí mudarme a los Estados Unidos, la verdad fue mi primer abrigo y era ideal para las temperaturas newyorkinas pero cuando me mudé aquí a Canadá y decidí llevarlo en Invierno Oh sorpresa! No era lo mismo la gente con una sonrisa en sus caras me decía y ese es tu abrigo de Invierno? creo que ni siquiera para el Otoño te sirve. Así que tuve que comprar un verdadero abrigo que soportara las glaciales temperaturas de Montreal y mi abrigo favorito quedó olvidado en mi closet :( La verdad este año hemos estado muy suertudos con las temperaturas tan clementes que hemos tenido. Es increíble que ya estemos a mediados de Diciembre y todavía podamos llevar ropa otoñal así que decidí desempolvar y rescatar mi abrigo azul olvidado en un rincón de mi walk-in y estilizarlo con boyfriend jeans, loubies y esta súper chic bufanda de Joe Fresh que me enamoró cuando la vi. I found the perfect casual-chic LBD at Boutique L'Actuel. Designed by the awesome Canadian brand Rudsak this Little Black Dress can be worn for many different occasions: office party, night out with friends, romantic dinner... you named it! I still can't believe that in the middle of December we're having temperatures that turn around 10 degrees in Montreal. It worries me because these abnormal temperatures might be a consequence of climate change. At least for now I don't need gloves, beanies or winter coats for my posts. This past weekend I put on a LBD with a leather jacket and booties with no tights. All these beautiful pieces are available at Boutique L'Actuel. Here are some pics of my look. Hope you like it! ;)

Es increíble que ya en pleno Diciembre en Montreal y tengamos aun temperaturas que llegan casi a los 10 grados centígrados, la verdad me da un poco de preocupación pues seguro es un fenómeno de los cambios climáticos y el recalentamiento, pero aunque no debería decirlo yo feliz todavía de poder vestir ropa ligera y no todavía guantes, gorros o abrigos de invierno así que este fin de semana tuve la dicha de poder llevar este lindo little black dress con jacket de cuero y botines sin medias.
