A memorable Gala with Les Grands Ballets

I Love Art! It's always been a part of me and I consider Fashion as a form of expression like music, painting or dance. That's why I never hesitate when I get invited to art related activities. Last month I had the great pleasure of covering Les Grandes Ballets Canadiens de Montreal's 2016 Benefit Gala. It was so incredible to see 800 guests gather together to help Les Grandes Ballets Canadiens de Montreal raise funds to support their fantastic creations. Honorary co-presidents of the 2016 Gala Martin Thibodeau, President, RBC Royal Bank, and Mathieu Duguay, President, COGIR did an amazing job helping raise more than 800.000$ surpassing this year fundraising goal by more than 100.000$. Chapeau to them!

2016 is a very special year for the dance company. Besides celebrating its 60th anniversary, 2016 will mark the end of a glorious era at Les Grandes Ballets, its beloved director for the past 17 years, Gradimir Pankov, is retiring at the end of the season. Ivan Cavallari has been appointed as the new Artistic Director and will begin his mandate in 2017. A time of farewells and new directions. The amazing evening started with cocktails then we move to the principal room inside the Uniprix Stadium where we treated like royalty. Delicious and fancy dinner, champagne and of course some beautiful dance excerpts from La Lueur de l'Aube by Ken Ossola. The night finished with a party where all the guests had the opportunity to dance too! It was an incredible event and if next year you have the opportunity to attend it and contribute to the excellent creations of Les Grandes Ballets Canadiens de Montreal don't miss it. I'm pretty sure you will have the time of your life! ;)

Côté Fashion... It is always difficult to decide what to wear for Galas. You know you must look elegant but at the same time you want to be as comfy as possible to survive the long hours, enjoy the evening and dance away! So I decided to wear a sexy and comfy black knit dress and I matched it with a black small choker, an animal print Michael Kors clutch and my loubies. A simple, elegant and attractive all black outfit! Here are some images. Hope you like it! ;)

Amo el Arte! Siempre ha sido parte de mi vida y considero la moda como una forma de expresión artística como lo es la música, la pintura o la danza. Por eso nunca lo pienso dos veces cuando me invitan a eventos relacionados con arte. El mes pasado tuve el placer de cubrir la Gala Benéfica de Les Grandes Ballets Canadiens de Montreal. Fue increíble ver más de 800 personas reunidas para recoger fondos para financiar las creaciones de Les Grandes Ballets. Los Co-Presidentes Honorarios de este año 2016 Martin Thibodeau, Presidente de RBC Royal Bank, y Mathieu Duguay, Presidente de COGIR hicieron un trabajo increíble al recoger más de 800.000$ sobrepasando incluso el objetivo inicial fijado por más de 100.000$. Mis mas sinceras felicitaciones!

2016 es un año especial para la compañía de baile. Además de celebrar su 60 aniversario, este será el último año de su querido director artístico Gradimir Pankov, quien estuvo durante los últimos 17 años. Ivan Cavallari ha sido nombrado como nuevo Director Artístico y entrará en función en 2017. Podríamos decir que será un año de despedidas y de nuevas aventuras. La noche empezó con cocteles antes de entrar al salón principal en el Estadio Uniprix de Montreal donde nos trataron como reinas. Nos esperaba una deliciosa y suntuosa comida, champagne y por supuesto una presentación de los bailarines del ballet que interpretaron algunos pasajes tomados de La Lueur de l'Aube de Ken Ossola. La noche terminó con una fiesta donde los invitados nos tomamos la pista de baile. Fue una noche increíble y si el próximo año tienen la oportunidad de asistir y colaborar con Les Grandes Ballets Canadiens de Montreal no se lo pueden perder. Les aseguro que pasarán una noche inolvidable.

Ahora hablando un poco de moda siempre es complicado decidir qué ponerte para un Gala. Sabes que tienes que estar elegante pero al mismo tiempo deseas estar lo más cómoda posible para poder resistir las largas horas, disfrutar el evento y bailar toda la noche. Por eso decidí llevar este sexy y muy confortable vestido en tejido negro y lo completé con mi clutch en animal print de Michael Kors y mis lobbies. Un look en negro simple, elegante y atractivo.
