CELINE SS27: A Love Affair, One Step at a Time

How long have I loved CELINE? Let’s just say it’s been at least 16 years!

I remember when the famous CELINE Luggage Tote first came out in 2010. Designed by Phoebe Philo for the Spring 2010 collection, it would become the It bag of the decade. I remember falling in love with it and thinking, How could anyone afford a $4,000 bag?

Then, in 2018, I started collaborating with a pre-loved luxury site, and I finally got my hands on my first pristine CELINE bag. It felt surreal, and I was so happy! When I started covering Paris Fashion Week in 2016, I found it so difficult to get invited to the shows and presentations of major designers and fashion houses.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to attend numerous runway shows, presentations, and several re-sees, but I have to admit that going to CELINE has been one of my dreams since those early days.

Fast-forward to 2026, and here I am, getting a closer look at a collection that premiered just a day earlier!I guess playing the long game has paid off. It’s not always easy to work toward something without knowing when you’ll get there, but staying positive and believing in yourself can make all the difference.

The re-see took place in a beautiful old mansion in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Three floors of pure CELINE heaven!

Designed by Michael Rider, the CELINE SS27 collection explored effortless Parisian elegance, balancing strong tailoring with a more relaxed attitude. Structured jackets, slim chinos and voluminous trousers defined the silhouettes, while a palette of black, cream and neutrals was punctuated by vibrant touches of yellow, fuchsia, blue and red. The result was a collection that felt timeless, elegant, expressive and totally my style. For me, attending the CELINE re-see is one big step on the long staircase of dreams I’m chasing.
