Eli in the Walk-in... 1st Anniversary ;)

Hey guys! I have a special surprise for you, on a very special occasion: Eli in the Walk-in first Anniversary. Today, I'm presenting you with my first design. Maybe the first piece of my new collection...? Who knows ;)

This garment is a Peter Pan collar blouse. The collar was named after the Peter Pan costume and has been worn since the 1900's. Always associated with girl dresses, this collar later became a fashion success for every woman; we see it in dresses, blouses and shirts.

For this blouse I decided to use Chiffon as a fabric because it is very flattering and it hangs well. I chose a white/beige-ish color that looks great with black. My mother sewed the blouse, she's my favourite designer and dressmaker.

I dedicate this post to her great style and her incredible talent!

Hola amigos! Hoy es una ocasión muy especial para celebrar: El primer aniversario de Eli in the Walk-in. Es por esto que les he preparado una sorpresa: mi primer diseño. Talvez la primera prenda de mi nueva colección...? Nunca se sabe ;)

Es una blusa de cuello Peter Pan o mas conocido como cuello bebé. El nombre de este cuello viene del disfraz del conocido personaje de Peter Pan. Este ha sido portado desde los años 1900 y siempre ha estado asociado a los vestidos de niñas, para luego convertirse en un suceso de moda para cada mujer. Lo podemos encontrar en vestidos, blusas y camisetas.

Para esta blusa quise usar tela Chiffon pues es un material que cae y además se ajusta muy bien al cuerpo. Los colores que escogí: beige y negro son la combinación perfecta. Fue mi madre quien fabricó esta blusa, quien es mi costurera y diseñadora favorita.
