Hello my "Walk-ins"

In the next two posts I'll be talking about a label that I love: V A I K E N. Valérie Tolila is the founder and head designer of this Montreal Fashion brand that launched in 2013. Following 13 years of extensive traveling in Europe, Valérie enrolled in Fashion Design at Lasalle College International. After graduating with Honours, she was chosen as the assistance to Vivianne Westwood during Istanbul's first Fashion Week. She had also the opportunity to work with other renowned designers including Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli and Missoni. Designer António Augustus encouraged Valérie to start her own label and when she returned to Montreal she did exactly that. Since 2013 VAIKEN has made a name for itself as a brand that embodies the modern woman. VAIKEN has been awarded the Mercedes-Benz Start up Ottawa competition in 2014, has participated in Toronto Fashion Week and has been selected as one of the four finalist for the 2015 TFI’s New Labels Fashion Design Competition that featured the hottest new design talent in Canada. As Valérie put it herself: "VAIKEN is in harmony with today's real, radiant and confident woman".

I personally love the sexiness of V A I K E N designs, how unique and feminine they are and how they fit your body perfectly. I also adore the use of geometric forms on her pieces, the mix of fabrics and the stunning crop tops. It is easy to look sexy and elegant wearing her exclusive creations. And of course the crafting is impeccable and the materials are of excellent quality. For V A I K E N lovers this brand is available Online and at Simons stores in Montreal.

For this first look I'm wearing the beautiful Eloa sport jacket and the comfy Lola leather shorts. Finally temperatures are rising so we can definitely start wearing shorts. Here some images of my first look, an sporty yet chic outfit. Hope you like it! ;)

Hola mis "Walk-ins"

Esta semana les estaré presentando dos publicaciones acerca de una marca canadiense que me encanta: VAIKEN. Valérie Tolila es la fundadora y diseñadora de esta excelente compañía de moda creada en el año 2013. Después de viajar durante varios años en Europa, Valérie estudia Diseño de Moda en Lasalle College International. Graduarse con honores le permite trabajar como asistente de Vivianne Westwood durante la primera semana de moda de Estambul. También tiene la oportunidad de trabajar con varios de los diseñadores mas importantes de Moda y renombre internacional como lo son Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli y Missoni. Mas adelante, es el diseñador portugués António Augustus quien le insiste a Valérie para que cree su propia marca y es exactamente lo que ella hace cuando regresa a Montreal. Desde el año 2013 V A I K E N se ha ido posicionando como una marca destinada a la mujer moderna. En estos 2 años de existencia, VAIKEN ha ganado la competencia Mercedes-Benz Start up en Ottawa, se ha presentado en la Semana de la Moda de Toronto y hoy se encuentra como semifinalista de la prestigiosa competencia TFI’s New Labels Fashion Design 2015 que premia los nuevos talentos en diseño de moda en Canadá. Como Valérie lo dice: "VAIKEN es una marca que esta en armonía con la mujer actual radiante y segura de si misma".

A mi personalmente lo que me encanta de esta marca, son las formas geométricas y sensuales de sus diseños, su originalidad, sus crop tops y como se ajustan perfectamente al cuerpo. Por supuesto la confección y los acabados son impecables y la calidad de los materiales irreprochable. La verdad es muy fácil verte sexy y elegante al mismo tiempo luciendo cada uno de sus exclusivos diseños. Para este primer look estoy luciendo el jacket en lana Eloa y los confortables shorts de cuero Lola. Finalmente las temperaturas comienzan a subir así que para alegría de muchas ya podemos empezar a usar shorts de nuevo.
