Pierre Cardin is eclectic! Like it or not, the brand will never leave you indifferent, and that’s what I love most about it. This was my second time attending a Pierre Cardin show, and I knew right away from the invitation that something special was coming «Le lieu étant encore tenu secret, l’atmosphère le sera tout autant. Une seule chose que nous pouvons vous révéler : les températures pourraient être fraîches»
Could it get any more exciting than that? And then we arrived to discover that the runway would take place in an ice-skating rink! Can you imagine? This wasn’t just a runway show; it was a spectacle. The show opened with an incredible figure-skating performance before the models took to the ice. For Spring/Summer 2027, Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin continues to explore the future of fashion, drawing inspiration from space exploration and the house’s iconic Space Age heritage. Geometric shapes, vibrant colours, unexpected silhouettes and technical materials brought a futuristic feel to the collection, while the use of recyclable textiles and fabrics from the house’s archives reflected a more responsible approach to design. Rodrigo believes that fashion will focus on simplicity, functionality and elegance, proving that innovation and sophistication can go hand in hand. And after experiencing a show like this, one thing is certain: Pierre Cardin knows how to surprise us!
