Miami Swim Week Highlights Part 2

After Saturday's runways I finally had some time to spend with my friends laughing, drinking wine and eating cheese. We stayed late even though I knew I had a bunch of fashion shows and presentations waiting for me on Sunday. But it was worth it :) My Sunday started with a brunch at  the 10th floor of the Soho Beach house where I could discover the awesome accessories collection of n i i n a brand founded in Hong Kong. The beautiful materials they use and the impeccable craftsmanship stole my heart. You really need to check out their awesome and exclusive  accessories. It's almost impossible to choose only one piece. After meeting and talking Fashion with models, designers and photographers at the incredible Soho House I went to  the W South Beach hotel to attend the runways of my Montreal friends Filthy Haanz, Lybethras and the California based brand Baes and Bikinis. My very talented friend and designer Wilber Tellez created again a very sensual and modern swimsuit collection for Filthy Haanz honouring the style and the quality that distinguishes the brand. I especially loved the black swimsuit you'll see in the pictures below. Then it was the Brazilian brand Lybethras that took the runway by storm with their super sexy swimsuit collection. Later, the California brand Baes and Bikinis surprised me with a very sexy, young and contemporary collection. Their runway was led by Ava Sambora daughter of Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who was in the audience, and actress/model Heather Locklear. She definitely stole the show. Her father was on attendance in front of me and I didn't reconnaissance him so I didn't took a pic! I was so disappointed :( To end my day and close another run at fun Fashion Swim Week I attended the Maaji runway which took place in the Funkshion Tent. As usual Maaji collection was full of bright colors and sexy bikinis. Miami is always a fun place to enjoy a week of Fashion. The ambience is different from other cities with major Fashion events and it's definitely worth attending. See you next year Swimweek... Hope you like it! ;)

Hola mis "Walk-ins"

Después de los desfiles del sábado por fin tuve un tiempo libre para compartir con mis amigos tomar vino, comer una rica tabla de quesos y reír un buen rato. Estuvimos despiertos hasta la madrugada y a pesar de saber que tenía muchos compromisos en la mañana siguiente igual fue muy divertido. El domingo comenzó  con un delicioso brunch en el piso 10 del exclusivo Soho Beach House y con una súper linda vista de Miami Beach. Allí pudimos degustar de una rica gastronomía, frutas, vegetales y un desayuno muy saludable fueron servidos a la mesa. La cita fue aquí para conocer las creaciones de la diseñadora originaria de Hong Kong y su linda collection de n i i n accesories. Los brazaletes mis preferidos, la verdad si hubiera tenido que escoger solo uno no hubiera podido. Hermosa y muy original su colección. Luego me dirigí hacia el hotel W donde se presentaron la mayoría de desfiles este día. Es triste no poder asistir a todos, la verdad hubo algunos a los que no pude ir pues se presentaron al mismo tiempo que otros. Así que desafortunadamente tuve que escoger. Comencé por el tan esperado desfile de mi amigo y diseñador de la marca Filthy Haanz una marca basada en Montreal con quien tuve la oportunidad de hacer una colaboración en el pasado. Súper sexy la nueva colección, mi preferido un traje de baño negro de dos piezas que ya verán en estas fotos. Luego siguió el desfile de Lybethras otra súper sexyyy marca "Made in Brazil" yo diría que una de mis preferidas. Combinación de estilos formas y colores de todo mi gusto. Después asistí al desfile de la marca Baes and Bikinis una marca de LA cuya embajadora es Ava Sambora,  hija del famoso guitarrista de la agrupación Bon Jovi Richie Sambora y la actriz y modelo Heather Locklear, la cual desfiló esa noche y anécdota por supuesto su padre estaba allí en el runway sentado al frente mío y por desgracia no lo reconocí. Muero de tristeza pues soy una big fan de él y su música y no tuve la oportunidad de hablarle ni de tomarle una foto ni siquiera... Llanto :'( La noche terminó con el desfile de la marca colombiana Maaji una pasarela súper divertida llena de lindos y coloridos diseños y accesorios que la verdad me dan ganas de vivir en la playa para poder llevar uno diferente cada día. Una vez mas fue una súper Swim Week que terminó muy bien para mí. Miami es una vibrante ciudad para asistir a una semana de la moda con un ambiente de fiesta completamente diferente a las otras ciudades. Ya no veo la hora de regresar el próximo año.
