Discovering Le Mount Stephen: the new luxury lifestyle hotel in downtown Montreal

Montreal is a wonderful city. There's always something fun to do especially during Summer. You can visit museums, enjoy a show in one of Montreal's music festivals, eat in a wonderful restaurant or just walk and enjoy the view. That's why Montreal is not only a great city to live in but an excellent place to visit. And this Summer is even more special because of all the activities taking place to celebrate the 375th anniversary of the city and also the 150th anniversary of Canada. We have tourists from all around the world having the time of their lives in beautiful Montreal.

And last weekend I had the opportunity to play tourist in my city for a day and spend the night at Le Mount Stephen, a new luxury lifestyle hotel in downtown Montreal. This hotel is the perfect representation of what Montreal is as a city. Located at 1440 Drummond Street in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, Le Mount Stephen preserved its 1883 unique façade which perfectly evoke Montreal's past but it was carefully restored and well preserved inside rooms. and as soon as you get to the lobby and to your room the contemporary design and all the high tech will blow your mind! As Montreal, Le Mount Stephen delivers the best possible blending of past and future.

Right as you enter the hotel you feel welcome, the hotel staff is super respectful and make you feel at home. The check-in is fast and they guide you to your room to explain all the little but essential details of how to use all the high tech in your room. For instance, how to turn on the different light ambiances, the automatic curtains and blinds and of course the always important espresso machine. After learning how to operate all these gadgets we went outside and walked for a while in downtown, enjoyed a concert near Place des Arts and dinned at the Old Port. Everything is just minutes away. Of course, If you prefer you can drive, ask the concierge for a limo, take the metro or just walk and experience Montreal summer nights as we did. We came back late that night enjoyed some cocktails at the hotel and then went to sleep. The next morning we ordered a continental breakfast at our room so we could stay longer in bed ;) And then I enjoyed a SPA treatment that was awesome! I really needed that massage.

With its 90 prestigious rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, including some incredible suites (they told me they're amazing!) Le Mount Stephen is an incredible hotel that fulfil all the expectations of an award winning five star uncommon luxury lifestyle hotel. This is definitely a hotel that I will chose over and over if I have to visit Montreal. Here are some images during my stay at this great place. Hope you like it! ;) It's Eli recommended!

Montreal es una ciudad maravillosa. Siempre hay algo diferente para hacer sobre todo durante el Verano. Puedes ir a conciertos, visitar museos, comer en deliciosos restaurantes entre otras miles de cosas a descubrir. Y este Verano es más especial todavía por todas las actividades organizadas para celebrar los 375 años de Montreal y los 150 años de Canadá. Tenemos turistas de todas partes del mundo visitando Montreal. El fin de semana pasado tuve la oportunidad de convertirme en "turista" en mi propia ciudad y pasar la noche al increíble Le Mount Stephen un nuevo hotel de lujo que hace poco abrió sus puertas en el centro de Montreal. Este hotel es la perfecta representación de lo que es esta ciudad. Localizado en 1440 Drummond Street en el Golden Square Mile de Montreal, Le Mount Stephen conservó su hermosa fachada construida en 1883 que evoca perfectamente el pasado de Montreal pero como fue cuidadosamente restaurado para convertirlo en un hotel del futuro, te quedarás sorprendido con su diseño contemporáneo y toda la tecnología que tiene. Y así es esta ciudad un rico pasado mezclado con estructuras modernas y contemporáneas. Tan pronto entras en el hotel te sientes como en casa, los empleados del hotel con su trato respetuoso y servicial así te lo hacen sentir. El check-in fue rápido y un empleado nos acompañó hasta la habitación para ayudarnos con el equipaje y para explicarnos detalladamente cómo operar todo el equipo en la habitación, desde las diferentes ambiances luminosas en la habitación y el baño, las cortinas y persianas automáticas hasta la muy esencial máquina de espresso. Después de aprender cómo usar todos los aparatos decidimos salir a dar una vuelta en el centro, disfrutamos de un concierto cerca de Place des Arts y luego fuimos a cenar al Viejo Puerto. Todo se encuentra relativamente cerca del hotel. Por supuesto si prefieren pueden ir en carro, hablar con el concierge para solicitar una limo, tomar el metro o simplemente caminar como nosotros lo hicimos y disfrutar de las lindas noches de verano en la ciudad. Regresamos al hotel en la noche, disfrutamos de unos cócteles en el bar y luego nos fuimos a dormir. En la mañana ordenamos un desayuno continental a la habitación para disfrutar y así poder quedarnos unos minutos de mas en cama ;) Al medio día me fui para una sección de SPA en el hotel donde me dieron un delicioso y relajante masaje que bastante que necesitaba. Con sus 90 habitaciones con amplias ventanas, incluyendo algunas suites (que me dijeron que estaban increíbles!) Le Mount Stephen es un hotel que llena todas las expectativas de un premiado hotel de cinco estrellas. Este es definitivamente el hotel que escogería cada vez que tuviera que visitar Montreal. Aquí les dejo algunas imágenes de nuestra estadía en este increíble hotel.
